The softwareLabImage 1D  from the Leipzig-based company Kapelan Bio-Imaging is getting a completely new user interface, aiming to set new standards for software in molecular biology. LabImage 1D is an advanced software specifically designed for analyzing 1D gel electrophoresis images, widely used in molecular biology and biochemistry. The upcoming version 6.0 will set new milestones for user-friendliness and flexibility. A key part of this update is a fully redesigned usability concept, optimized for both traditional desktop PCs and modern touch interfaces. “New graphics frameworks and an agile design process allow us to implement completely new concepts and simplify lab workflows,” explains Olaf Brenn, the company’s CEO.

This adjustment enables smooth and intuitive operation, regardless of whether the user is working with a mouse and keyboard or using touch controls. The clear, user-centered interface ensures that even complex analyses of 1D gel evaluations can be carried out efficiently. The software seamlessly adapts to various work environments, helping scientists achieve their results faster and more accurately.

With these improvements, LabImage 1D remains a top choice for researchers needing high-quality and reliable analysis tools. The new version 6.0 strengthens the software’s position as a versatile and future-proof Tool in bioscience research .
